I have owned this Daihatsu Sirion since registration and it has always been a reliable good runner. In August 2016 after a long journey the engine started making an unusual noise. We booked a full service with Halfords Autocentre to coincide with MOT on 5th September - the car passed it"s MOT but the service identified the fault as needing new timing chain tensioner (quoted cost £366 + VAT). We had been planning to buy a camper-van, so since October we have kept the car off-road parked on our drive-way. The car is in good condition (for it"s age) both interior & exterior - with some minor scratches/marks. We have paperwork for all services/any work done. Low CO2 emissions = only £30 per year road tax!!
