PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ADVERT!
I"d wanted one of these legendary 4x4"s for years but sadly due to moving property my project is up for sale.
I brought this as an mot failure, the chassis is very solid, never been welded and doesn"t need it, 4 nearly new mud tyres, the paintwork really isn"t as good as the photos! It was such a sunny day i just couldn"t get a more honest photo to show anything up! Its getting on a bit so has scratches, the odd dent, paint damage etc… Im pretty sure it would come up "ok" with a good "T" cut and polish.
Engine and all running gear is spot on, i test drove it on private roads before i brought it and it pulled really well.
Unfortunatley i started re-building it and haven"t got the time or space to finish it, I"ve never sold a part project before but due to a house move somethings got to give.
I have fully rebuilt the WHOLE front end, New parts fitted include -
Every single steering, suspension and drive train component -

the Chassis has been needle scaled back to the rear wheels, applied rust inhibitor, primer, undercoat and 3 top layers of polyurethane paint, carried out the same procedure to the front panel and inner wings.
Didn"t quite get round to the back!! its in good nick and it could be left "as is" or obviously carry on the work.
The body work (rust wise) is perfect until you get back to the rear wheels, It will need repairs to the rear floor pans, both cills (I have 2 x genuine Daihatsu cills to be sold with the car, these are no longer sold either by Daihatsu or patten parts), repairs to the rear arches, inner and outer (but the big plastic wheel arch spats cover it so it won"t have to be pretty), boot floor seems generally ok somehow! Laquer has gone on the bonnet and theres a big dent in the drivers door BUT i have BOTH parts in matching colour ready to bolt on.
Its obviously not currently MOT"d, it CANNOT be driven home.
Front callipers and brake lines will need to be fitted, along with new bearings if you choose to. Have a new clutch cable ready to go on as the existing one is a bit scratchy.
Parts needed - indicators all round, stuff for rear drive train if you choose.
It starts first turn of the key and run"s perfectly, selects gears fine.
Can drive it for loading by stopping with the handbrake.
Electric windows and mirrors work!
Front bumper and grill are present and useable.
Unfortunately i can only add 12 photos but I"m sure you get the gist, it is a project but will make a stunning vehicle once completed.
Including purchasing the vehicle it owe"s me in excess of £1,200+++ and thats without labour, theres some serious hours gone into the front so you could be buying this at cost (or less!!!), ideally finish the project and have the best Fourtrak in the UK! or maybe if your chassis/running gear is shot the do a body swap? or if you can"t be bothered to weld the back, cut it off and make an amazing tray back for off roading :)
