This is a great little work horse. I live some distance from my place of work and wanted to keep the mileage down on my car, so brought it to commute and use as a little run around, it was handy for picking stuff up, going to the dump etc also it is cheap on fuel. It has been, and still is, a fantastic little van.Body wise it is very very solid, it does have a few marks bumps and little bits of surface rust but nothing over the top or cause for concern. Underneath it"s as solid as a rock. Originally it was white but it was sprayed by BT in their corporate colour of light grey. The drivers seat is worn on the side from getting in and out. The interior is basic but not in bad nick. It has not got power steering. The heated rear window doesn"t work and never has since I brought it and it"s never had any wheel trims, apart from that I can"t fault it. It has a factory fitted radio but when I had the new battery fitted I lost the code. The radio does work but requires a code.
Whilst in the hands of BT it was maintained regardless of cost like all their vehicles are. Since I have owned it I have covered just over 20,000 miles. during which time I have had the following work/new parts;
Set of new tyresNew BatteryNew Cam Belt and kitNew water pumpNew Alternator
The cam belt, water pump and alternator were done about 15 thousand miles ago the battery and tyres about 12 thousand miles ago.Because I was using it to get to work I needed it to be reliable so when I first brought it I went to town and had a full service. All filters, brake fluid were changed and the usual service carried out plus a full inspection all over and anything that needed doing was done. As I recall the only things other than the service that needed doing were the heated rear window and wiper didn"t work but I left them and the tracking was a bit out. I had the tracking done when I replaced the tyres.All of this work was carried out in a garage workshop by a friend for cash in the hand so sadly I haven"t got any receipts.Since this service all I have had done is oil and filter changes.There is a very handy tow bar fitted.
The only reason I am selling this van is because my grandson has just started driving. I wanted to add him to my insurance, which I knew would be expensive but because of the size of the engine it was too expensive so I have now brought a small engined little hatch back that is cheaper to insure.
