vehicle description:

Here is my Lotus Esprit HC/NA for sale..
I am selling this car for genuine reasons, mainly that i do not use it anymore, and have only driven it for 1,400 miles in the last 5 years and in total 12,000 miles in the last 14 years since 2002.
In that time i have replaced most major components, cambelt kit every 5 years (replaced not so long ago) clutch, steering rack, gearchange cables and rod ends, plus Lotus modified gear change bar all brake calipers have had new seal kits, water pump , oil pump, electric window motor , rear tyres and a few other minor parts. (since replacing these parts it"s not been used much)
I used to drive this car every day, and commute to work and also use as a shopping car (yes you can get plenty in the rear) but since the arrival of my little boy, i have had no time to use it as before.
It has been serviced well , and i have used only the best oils and genuineLotus filters ! as you can see from looking..
It has been taxed MOT"d Insured every year, but has either been garaged or parked outside on the road.
I have , i think every MOT certificate since the car was new, and most tax discs.. it has all Lotus original factory stickers.. and handbook and even a letter from Lotus to the original owner stating that a date in the handbook was wrong , and confirming the actual date of first registration, also i have invoices and original parts receipts, so you can see from the mileage and date on MOT"s how little miles the new clutch , rear tyres etc has done.
It has passed all MOT"s fine apart from needing silly things like bulbs or headlamp beam alignment.
Right the bad bits... as its been sitting around.( i do start it regular and put fresh petrol in) the cloth trim strip around the rear glass panel has disintegrated a little, there has recently been a split in the side panel of the leather seat (i"m told this can be repaired easily) and the bonnet paintwork has become dull, maybe it can be polished! but its only small so wont cost much to respray.. I would rectify these small bits and pieces myself, but i do not have time, and that is reflected in the starting price.
This is one of very few Lotus Esprits that have this reliable engine, along with the final designer shape, i think there were only around 235 made worldwide , and this may be unique through its colour scheme.. steel blue met with full magnolia leather. in recent years the price of older Lotus cars has doubled, and this being a famous model seen in many films can only rise in value i would
think..
There was a project Esprit on here a while back that had various panels off, boxes of bits and not complete or in working order, and that was still bid up to around £5,000 i think, but did not meet reserve! and compared to my car it was a pile of scrap.
I can give test drives to genuine buyers only! and that means i drive! as you will not be insured..and this is still a very quick car and rear wheel drive..it"s not for a novice driver..
I have tried to sell this car in the past, but have had only time-wasters.. i have been honest about the car, and all the paperwork is here for proof, most since the car was made, there can"t be many left with this much documentation and in this condition.
I will have this advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to end the auction early.. as is stated on most listings..
Also cash on collection only! you are here to bid and buy, not to try and make a deal like a trader!!!
If the car reaches a respectable price i will add some spare new parts, and Lotus factory workshop manual..worth around £80
Happy bidding..and also no reserve..
