THE Ferrari 550 GTS RECREATION Looking for something impressive, different and exclusive and the only one in the world then this is your chance to grab a unique one off car. Built by famous custom car builder Roy Kelly this Ferrari 550GTS recreation was conceived, designed, and built by engineer Roy to exacting standards in 2015. This car is a recreation of the Prodrive built Red Bull sponsored car that took part in the 2002-4 FIA GT1 World Championship this race car was homologated for the race track only Ferrari never built a road going 550GTS version. The car chassis No B000115811 was decommissioned by Prodrive in 2004 and sold privately it now is taking part in the Italian club GT and hill climb scene. Unlike other replica cars on the market there are no fibreglass panels on this car it was entirely constructed using hand formed 18 gauge mild steel panels. These where custom hand formed, shaped, welded and dressed into position so its an all steel construction so unique even the rear wing is marine aluminium the only fibreglass on the car are the front and rear GTS Racing bumpers. This exclusive recreation is based on a Jaguar XK8 4 litre 300bhp V8 a fast luxury GT road car which sold for around £54k when new, so as well as the looks you also have the performance. It has a sumptuous leather interior with all the usual Jaguar toys auto/manual gearbox, sport mode, traction control, cruise control, air-con, climate control, integrated phone system, electric seats, multi-functual steering wheel, CD auto changer, premium radio sound system, unmarked 20inch alloy wheels and a huge boot etc. The car is also a 2 plus 2 GT car so it’s possible to carry four people very useful if you have small children or pets. The car has been kept in very good order with all the usual service and maintance carried out. Paint, fit, leather and finish are to a high show standard and the car has recently won the prestigious “Best Replica in Show Trophy” at the world famous Stoneleigh show so quite an achievement as the standard at the show is very high. The car has a current MOT till January 2017 and is correctly registered on the V5c as a 550GTS replica. All decals and the marine aluminium rear wing are removable if the new owner so requires a more subdued look.
