“This is a yr 2000 car so there are some general scratches etc. Has a crack in the front bumper plastic that's been melted welded rather messilly. I went and scraped the near side door against a low wooden post. The near side front wing is very slightly indented behind indicators - hardly shows. The wheel trims on each side are different (after one of them fell off) _ I think we have 2 spare new ones so's they'll match. There is tint film to the rear door windows - which could be removed - v slight imperfections to the film. The drivers seat electric adjustment doesnt seem to work. the manual adjustments are still ok. The key broke - so have a new one without the immobiliser gizmo - so have to hold the old key against ignition when first starting (was told I could have the gizmo removed from old key and fitted into a new key at a key cutting place but as he'd have to order in a blank, I never bothered.”

We really like the old shape Ugly Bug MULTIPLA - there just seems nothing to compare - so much character, space (width and height) and with rear seats removed its so wide we can even push our 2 adult bikes straight in the side doors.  People even find room to sleep in them - I guess it"d be more comfy than using a camping tent. What other car is so roomy - powerful, economical and can seat 6 adults in comfort.  The width and height of driving position makes them lovely to drive - feeling very stable (round corners with little rolling).  We are only selling because we saw an almost identical old shape one that"s almost like new (v low mileage) so we thought we"d buy it as we hope to be old shape MULTIPLA owners for as long as poss.  MOT till June 29th 2016 - one notification (the no plate is a bit deteriorated).  We have always used synthetic oil which has been changed (with filter) more often than is expected and we try to let the car idle for a bit before switching off. I was told that"s really significant for engine/turbo longevity.  It doesn"t seem to use any oil - in fact we"re still not sure that the engine in our new v low mileage replacement feels as good.  The JVC cd/radio is a powerful unit - it sounds much better than the standard MULTIPLA radio in our replacement car - 50w output per channel (I think) - with input jack socket for ipod etc.  It has a tow bar (we used it for towing our sailing boat).  Its been a very faithful car. Tyres all have plenty of tread (but havent checked tread on the spare) - over the years we"ve had to have some suspension bushes/wishbone replacement - but it has been completely reliable - starts straight away every time.  View first (by appointment) if you wish, but any bidding is to be to commit to buying.  Payment to be made (prefer not paypal to avoid fees) on or before collection.  Collection only, obviously - to be paid for and collected within 5 days of auction end.  Sorry - no buy it now.  Its 15 yrs old so, as usual, its too old for any warranty - just a sold as seen sale.
