Ford Escort XR3I Cabriolet SE ALL BLUE for sale as a project / restoration
I used this car daily for the summer of 2015 and loved it. it never let me down and got attention everywhere I went.
Its a 1990 G reg 115k with good history. Being a genuine SE all blue it was the only mk4 Escort to carry this colour it also come with a factory fitted RS turbo bodykit and alloy wheels. this model also came with electric roof, electric windows, electric mirrors, heated front screen, fuel computer and its the only one to carry ski rack holes in the top of the A post.
This is totally standard and mostly original is needs a new roof which I priced to do and is under £400 fitted and it needs painting. there is pretty much a mark, dent or scratch on every panel, the worst being a dent in the passenger side 1/4 panel, there is little to no signs of rust and a lot of the paint work looks original.
The car runs and drives and always starts well, I stopped using as the water pump started leaking and at that point i was thinking it need a cam belt as well. This is still the case so although it runs and drives its leaking water. Also while using it I noticed it has a noisy clutch release bearing.
Please come a view and make your own mind up as every body is differnt but i think its a worth while project as these are only getting rarer and are starting to make good money.
