I am selling my superb condition 2005 Facelift Saab 9-5 Vector Sport estate in metallic blue, the car has numerous optional extras including rear parking sensors, half leather, cruise control, digital climate control, digital stereo, heated door mirrors etc.
The car was owned by Saab Northern Ireland, before coming over to England to be sold by Newbury Saab as an approved used car at 32,000 miles. It has all of the original documentation including the initial purchasing notes and receipts.
The car is in superb condition, having only had 3 owners. I doubt you will find another with low miles, full service history and a full 12 months MOT.
Engine and maintenance
The mileage is currently at 99405 miles. It’s backed up by all the previous MOT’s and fully stamped up service history booklet and corresponding receipts to prove mileage.
The cambelt and water pump were changed at 74,126 miles along with numerous other ancillaries as part of the major service.
The Saabhas been incredibly well looked after mechanically, with all the services being carried out on time and to a high standard, anything that needed replacing- being done so with the best components, this has included parts such as the DPF and glow plugs being replaced, air con regeneration, new ball joints when the tyres were done, EGR valve replacement etc.
The car has a manual gearbox, of which is in perfect working order, as the clutch is. The car does not smoke or burn oil at all, I am happy to sell the car knowing that it has no hidden gremlins or issues on a superb engine.
The next service will be a simple oil/filter change.
Cosmetic and bodywork
The bodywork is in good condition with no rust. The paintwork still gleams and looks fantastic when clean and polished, having always been a family car- it does have a few scratches and parking dings- nothing major but it’s a 11-year-old car now, so this is to be expected.
Being the Vector Sport model, it has the body colour bumpers, granite colour dash, 150bhp Tid engine and the Turbine alloy wheels, shod in excellent quality tyres.
Interior
The half black leather seats have been very well looked after, there is none of the usual wear to the seat bolsters but this might also be because it has such low miles for a Diesel.
The car has rear parking sensors, leather seats, CD changer and aux input digital Saab stereo, cruise control, ABS, ESP, remote central locking, roof rails, tow bar with electric hook up point, dual zone digital climate control, air conditioning, heated mirrors and windows.
Summary
I can’t really think of much, sometimes on cold starting the engine feels slightly lumpy, this goes away after a second or two. I have had the car fault read and it transpired to be a dirty EGR valve- I have ordered a replacement which should be fitted in the next few days, once it arrives!
Also there is some very small damage to the back of the rear seat caused by a previous owner’s dog, this is hidden by the parcel shelf but worth mentioning.
The car is fully HPI and I genuinely doubt that you will find another in this good condition at a price even remotely close, it took me ages to find one in this condition and have been very happy with it. An excellent family car with excellent mpg!
Car tax is the lower bracket; CO2 emissions are 184 g/km = £225 per year.
The car has both remote key fobs keys, a spare wheel, as well as the massive amount of receipts for servicing and parts.
