“Superb Restored Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole. Original UK RHD car, only 233 imported. Original Owners manuals and Ferrari wallet, the 15th from last RHD GTS made, registered 01/08/85. Has had full re trim in high grade leather, new sills, new lower wings, repaint, wheels refurbished, new tyres, over £7000 spent mechanically in last 1000 miles. Complete with Factory Build sheet, original sales invoices and invoice from Factory to Maranello Concessionaires, all period brochures and catalogues. Complete with targa roof vinyl cover, rear boot cover, full size spare wheel with original Good Year NCT 16" tyre. An amazing history file comes with the car. Very rarely seen like this. The car had a full engine rebuild by Keys Motorsport at 49,000 miles. A period Ferrari badged Pioneer radio cassette is supplied with the car as well as a large Schedoni suitcase which was an option. The car has just recieved rebuilt brake calipers.”

For sale here is my beautiful 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole

This special Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole is a rare original UK RHD drive car, it was sold by JCT 600 Ltd in Bradford to a Mr Guiness, a copy of the original hand over documents are supplied with the car. It was registered on the 1st of August 1985 and is one of the last Ferrari 308"s built. These are the last Ferrari"s to feature the chromed slider controls as fitted to Daytona"s, Dino"s etc. As such, the 308 feels more classic than the later 328, and the QV model featuring the 32 valve heads gains the later, more efficient motor, yet retains the Classic Ferrari feel.
Chassis 58115 has been documented by the Maranello Archive as the 15th from last RHD 308 GTS made. I have all of the documentation to back this up.
I purchased this car in 2010 and was swayed by this car as in the 1980"s I used to work with the sister of the Ferrari Salesman (Mr Metcalfe), who signed the handover documents to the first owner. This is all documented in the Owners Manual. An amazing coincidence which made me instantly attached to the car.
The car was originally ordered with 16 wheels with Goodyear Tyres, it still has the original magnesium wheels which have been refurbished. Fortunately, I have fitted a new set of tyres and it no longer sits on ageing rubber! The tyres have done less than 1000 miles. The car is an original Rosso Corsa car, with magnolia leather, piped in black. It had a painted rear aerofoil unlike the earlier cars with black rear spoilers.
All of the original accessories are with the car, a toolkit and the jack. Both are in original Ferrari tool rolls, the original Ferrari Wallet and manuals, a full sized spare wheel still wearing a period Good Year NCT tyre. The car has it"s vinyl cover for the hardtop and the boot cover.
I acquired a full set of correct period brochures and dealer material which adds to the history file.
A workshop manual is also included if required.
The accompanying history file for the car is amazing. An A4 file with over £40,000 worth of service bills from 1987 to the present date, including many invoices from leading Ferrari Specialists; DK Engineering, Terry Hoyle, Mike Stirland at MDS Services, QV London, Keys Motorsport, Modena. No expense has been spared in maintaining this car. These invoices do not include the recent body or trim work.
The engine was rebuilt at 49,000 miles by Keys Motorsport. The car now has 73,000 miles on the clock.
Since acquiring the car in 2010 new (factory) sills, new lower wings, new door hinges and a rebuilt rear panel have been fitted, the car was fully repainted in gleaming Rosso Corsa.
The interior has been completely re trimmed, new seats, door cards, centre console, rear parcel shelf, carpets, headlining and a re trimmed steering wheel. The interior is beautiful.
Mechanically the car was running and driving but had not been used for four years so a thorough overhaul was completed at a cost of £3800. This comprised of a full cambelt service, stripped and rebuilt radiator fans, cambelt tensioners, a number of pulleys, new spark plugs and leads etc.
It has recently recieved rebuilt brake callipers,(which now need bedding in), a new expansion tank, new hoses. The original exhaust has been removed and restored.
I am selling the car as I have acquired a Ferrari 512 Boxer and need funds for it"s restoration.
The car comes complete with original toolkit and jack in their respective tool rolls. One screwdriver is missing from the toolkit and also one spanner.
This is a great opportunity to acquire a GENUINE UK RHD Ferrari of which there are very few available.
