Welcome to the sale of my Fiat Punto.
This a great, reliable and economical run about that would be ideal as a first car for a teenager or as a cheap second car for the little trips around town. It averages over 40mpg and will get more than 50mpg on a motorway run. Although a 1.2 it is nippy in town and has enough to deal with most things the world can throw at you! It is surprising large inside and can accommodate most drivers (I"m 6"4""!), the power steering is great and everything works as it should . . . in fact I would go as far to say that it"s good fun to drive.
The Good:
1. Low mileage2. No advisories on the Last MOT.3. It had two new front tyres at the last MOT.4. New gear box and clutch from Mr Clutch at 59000 miles (see picture)
The not so Good:
1. It has a few "parking sensors" the worst of which I have tried to show in the photos, cracked front bumper and a few scuffs here and there.2. One rust spot on the near side rear door (in photos) will need some attention to avoid it getting any worse (not likely to be an MOT failure as not structural)3. After the MOT the battery went flat (due to lack of use) and the air bag lights came on after jump starting it! I had this turned off at a local garage for £30. They stayed off for 3 weeks and then I went on holiday, when I came back the battery was flat again and the air bag light was on (see picture). I understand this is a common fault and, if you drive it every day, get them turned off and they shouldn"t cause an issue.
I"ve added a starting price of £300 as it must be worth at least this (the gearbox and clutch were £600) and has an MOT for the rest of the year and then some. I recommend viewing prior to the end of the auction, you bid to buy the car not view it.
Cash on collection only, I find this is usually easier for all involved!
