SPECIFICATION OF THE CAR
An EXCEPTIONAL example of a ‘BLACK’Ford Focus Estate 1.8 TDDI (DIESEL) Ghia Model 2002 reg. This is properly ‘RARE’model to come across which has "full leathers" in and being a ‘Ghia Model’ a bonus ! which comes with all extras. This car is Manual Transmission 5 speed, mileage is only 119,500
Mileage could go up whilst using the car locally.
People who know these cars with TDDI engine will know there are much better engine than TDCI and these engines TDCI prone to injector and diesel pump failure !! TDDI are very ecumenical/ good and could last for a VERY LONG time if there have been treated well like this car has done!
This car has 3 previous owners, before my ownership was a DOCTOR, looked after the car very well as i have done too! (am the 4th owner). M.O.T till 22nd sep/ Electric front and back windows, power assistance steering wheel/ Roof Rails, Front and rear heated screen/ driver"s airbag, Air con which works very well ! This car has never been painted or involved in any accident, HPI clear with certificate present. As seen in the pictures, the car is in good condition for its age and its washed and polished once a week and garaged at night. No heavy item were put in this car, this car has NOT been used as a workhorse or driven rough, this car was ONLY used as a family car.
Common Faults ? Mine Has Been ALL clear and checked and all is well !
I have owned this car over 3 years now, and before purchasing I had checked every common fault which could appear on these kind of cars. I am fussy and I love my old Fords and know quite a bit about them. The previous owner was doctor and looked after this car very well, I continued the same too. Everything on the car seems good, the gear box is in good working order, the clutch has been replaced December 2016 . No oil leaks what so ever. Cam belt/ fan belt/ all been replaced.
Common faults such as the diesel pump/ speedometer/ damp carpets/ cam belt/ springs have all be checked and no faults what’s so ever. The cam belt was done on the mileage on 98,687. This car drives and looks great, this car has NEVER let us down very reliable car, the suspension is brilliant, excellent runabout. A well cared/ looked after car. Totally original and unmolested example. Heater Matrix works very well. This car is standard and an unmodified example. The car drives superb, as its Turbo Diesel it has bulletproof reliability and excellent (VERY GOOD ON DIESEL) fuel economy it actually provides sprightly performance.

THE ENGINE
Engine is a peach, exceptionally clean and it drives fantastic just like new, very economic and quick pickup. When driving this car on a motorway the speed on this car is superb, no dashboard movement/ no jerks/ like most old Ford car do, this DOESN"T. This car runs very smoothly just like a new car it"s got to be driven to be seen ! Head gasket is also excellent not losing any water and no oil leaks whatsoever it"s just perfect. This engine pulls like a train and it’s a dry smoke free engine. These TDDI engines can live for long specially like this car, whereas its been looked after and maintained and serviced to a very high standard, by using Ford service parts.
BODYWORK / EXTERIOR
Body work is Gleaming , however an odd VERY FEW scuff marks are there as you would expect from an estate but this ONE is almost CLOSE of being in mint condition, just few scuff marks e.g back rear door, near petrol cap/ bonnet. I must say not that noticeable UNLESS you go very close (please see pictures) taking into consideration the age of the car (2002) not a concourse.
It’s in good condition overall which shows by just looking at the picture but viewing is still essential if you are seriously considering purchasing it… because it looks much better than the pictures . The rear arches/ sills/ underneath the car are solid/clean (as shown in the pictures) ‘No Rust (LIKE MOST OTHER FOCUS ESTATE HAS RUSTY ARCHES ETC, THESE ARCHES ARE CLEAN AND NEVER BEEN PAINTED) .
Please check some close up pictures that I have taken from underneath the arches (very close up pictures have been taken) as said before looking at the age of this car, Its in good condition and the car overall is clean . I have also washed off the area so you can see the arches clearly, the car is rust free! The car has all the original body panels from the factory and has NEVER been in an accident of any type. Ghia Alloy wheels are in good condition with no curb etc with four good legal tyres.
INTERIOR
The Interior is FULL black leather ! rare to come by "NO" fag burns/rips on seats or carpet (Non-Smoker car). Comes with Kenwood CD Player and the Ford stalk (near the steering wheel works very well with the kenwood CD player. Dash is in good condition. The door cards/ chrome handle in good condition.
GOOD POINTS
1) Cambelt done on 98,678.
2) M.O.T till 8th Sep 2017
3) Sills/arches are in good condition, NO RUST !
4) ONCE A YEAR "TWICE" SERVICE (which i do for all my cars) normal Oil Service/ jan 2016/ then Full Service jul 2016) by using Ford parts I have the invoice
5) New Clutch fitted recently Nov 2016
6) New fan belt fitted
7) Engine is clean/ no smokey engine
8) This car has loads of paper work including Service history book, all stamps are present
9) All previous M.O.T from 2006-present sep 2017 !
10) Carpet and seats have NO fag burns etc.
11) Very good in diesel
12) Tracking done/ wheel balanced.
13) Hardly anyone has NOT (previous owners and myself) smoked in this car (non-smoker).
14) Glow plugs/electric window/ switches/speedo etc all in good working order.
15) Genuine 119,500 mileage can be proven by having a look at the car/ M.O.T History etc..
SUMMARY/ Reason For Sale………
I had purchased this car for the use of family runabout me and my wife use this car.
Due to wife having her own car now ive decided to sell it and purchased an focus ST which I always wanted. If I didn’t come across the ST I wouldn’t sell this car due to its perfect, Rare with ghia options/ leather seats etc. It took me almost one year to find this car which I am selling now and had this for four years…..
As this car was used for me and my wife for our local area and school drops with kids, so we made sure the mechanically side is ALL good.
A chance here to grab a genuine beautiful car which hardly need any work doing. Car has been maintained (checked and serviced) to the highest lever in any mechanic department through a local garage.
I have the latest HPI done on this Focus its HPI clear. I have tried to be honest as far as i can with this car, please genuine inquires only, NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE. I am NOT a car trader so NO part ex, sold as seen. I have seen focus estate diesel for sale, some are in worse condition/ high mileage (over 150,000 on clock or more) asking price more.... This is truly a Bargain at £1,495........... where you wont need to spend any money towards this car on any mechanical work, whereas it has "ALL" been done before, just put the key in and start driving !
AND NO "sorry" I WILL NOT TAKE £1,000...... if it doesn"t sell il keep it.
YOU wont find another like this TDDI GHIA with full leathers and all perfect (for its age) from outside and inside and of course the engine which is spot on !
