 Honda Accord TYPE R 2002
For sale is my 2002 facelift Honda Accord type R. I have owned this car for three years and it has been a great car.
The car comes with 10 months MOT. No advisories on the last MOT and no tax due to the new laws. It has 160,000 miles and very good srvice history. The car has Honda service history for the first part of its life and since then has been owned by enthusiasts who have carried out the work themselves or at Honda specialist garages. There is a large file of reciepts and history with the car and the car is well known on the Accord forum.
Since owning the car i have carried out alot of work. I am a fully qualified Honda technician. I have replaced the cambelt, auto tensioner and auxillary belts. I have replaced the rocker cover gasket and the spark plug tube gaskets. I have recently replaced the front brake discs and pads and the front calipers have been refurbished with new seals. I have carried out every service item such as oil and oil filter (x3), gearbox oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, coolant, fuel filter, pollen filter and valve clearance adjustment.
All 4 tyres are yokohama parada spec 2 with plenty of tread, the fronts have only covered 500 miles. I have also had the wheels resprayed so they are in very good condition. The font bumper was resprayed 2 years ago and i added the extra OEM looking front splitter. I have replaced the clutch with a genuine Honda clutch kit. All of this work aswell as some extras have been carried out in the last 10,000 miles.
The bodywork is in good condition overall however the rear bumper could do with a respray due to someone scraping it in a carpark.
The interior is in good condition, it has the usual wear to the drivers seat bolster and steering wheel however they are very good considering the age of the car.
The engine starts and drives perfectly, VTEC engages as it should. The gearbox is very good with no crunches.
The only modifications to the car are the extra front splitter, red silicon coolant hoses and also a braided HEL clutch line.
I have used this car daily since i have owned it and it has never let me down.
There are a few minor issues with the car so i will be as honest as possible, as stated the rear buper ideally needs a respray, the power steering belt is currently squeaking but i will do my best to sort this out before the sale and also the heated rear window does not work.
