Selling my Honda Accord Type R. I have only owned it for a short period. It was bought in August 15" to be used mainly for weekends as I sold my Impreza. We are currently renovating the house and is now surplus to requirements as I will be using our other car.
The basics:
Full service history. Majority is Honda.Mileage - 120k. (I have only covered 2000 miles!)MOT"d 10 months. Passed with No advisories!
Exterior: It"s in good condition for its age.Despite the short ownership period, it is regularly washed. Full body has been clayed, polished and sealed. Alloys could do with a refurb as front and rear drivers met a large pothole and buckled both of them so there"s vibration in the steering wheel. However, I also have another set of 4 alloys that can be included in sale dependant on price. They have Khumo tyres, balanced and no buckles.
Interior: also in good condition for age. Bolsters have normal wear but no rips/tears. Never smoked in.
Recent work: shocks replaced on all rear. New Cat. New ABS pump. (ABS faults are common) Rocker cover resprayed. New KN filter. Oil change for Fuschs Titan S. Decat is also available, it has been used for less than 100 miles. I will also include a set of OEM springs as it is quite low and shocks to replace the front.Rear drop links replaced in September.
Faults:
Needs the front shocks replaced. I have a set ready to go in. They have worn out quickly due to the lowering springs. There is slight synchro wear in 5th. This is minor and only happens at high rpm. I always double de clutch which provides smooth changes. The Selector fork was replaced at 85,000 miles (by Honda) which is the main issue with these boxes. All gears can be selected. Clutch would probably be good to change at the time too. I have taken this into account in the price. I have a faultless gearbox from a post facelift ready to be put in. This is not included in the price but can be bought seperatly. (Or you can replace the synchro yourself) It"s not a fault really but once the engine is hot, and engine is switched off, when started back up there is a slight chirp rattle noise. Been told by a mechanic that is likely the valve clearances and nothing to worry about. Once ran for a minute, it"s fine.
I just don"t have the time to spend on it right now. I have spent a lot of £s in my short ownership period. However, I am open to offers. I paid £2500 in August - I still have the receipt.
