So, the time has come for this to move on to as new owner. It"s been parking in my work car park for a couple of months due to a different vehicle but it"s going to waste there, it"s better if somebody else enjoys it!
This is the "full fat" Prelude from the 4th generation. It"s a Japanese import VTEC, which means that in theory it was around 200hp when new (with the right fuel in it). Also has four wheel steering, which makes car parks and the like surprisingly easy for what actually quite a long car. It currently has 155,508 kms on the clock, just under 97,000 miles. And at some point has had a mph face put on the clocks so the speedo is in mph (the original is included if you particularly want km/h).
I can"t think of anything that doesn"t work electrically or mechanically, it was still a pleasure to drive when I parked it up. Plenty of cosmetic niggles, bits of rust on the rear arches, the rear edge of the sunroof (putting a glass panel from a later one in seems to be the done thing) and one of the a pillars, and the paintwork is not outstanding generally if you"re up close. The right hand headlight occasionally needs the connector wiggled, could probably do with a new one at some point. Cruise control, folding mirrors, remote key and climate control are all working. I suspect the air con could do with gassing up, but I never used to use it.
It has an aftermarket alpine head unit fitted, with the older style apple connection, all four speakers were replaced and a subwoofer is currently fitted in the surprisingly spacious boot.
There is currently and aftermarket exhaust fitted, which was a little loud for my taste so the baffle is in, but it is removable if that"s your thing.
Viewings are welcome, and I"ll gladly take you around the car park it"s in, but unfortunately it"s no longer insured so not allowed on public roads. Cash on collection preferred, with deposit via paypal at end of listing, and there"s obviously no warranty being given by me.
