Hyundai Coupe 1.6 SE
I am finally selling my lovely Hyundai Coupe that I have owned for 12 years and loved every minute of driving it.
It still runs beautifully and I am selling as a few things need putting right and I do not really want to spend money on it when I really need a more sensible car as now have Grandchildren and it is a struggle getting them in and out.  I have been offered a car from a family member that is too good to turn down.
I feel this would be a great project for a Hyundai enthusiast or somebody that would have the time and a bit of money to make her beautiful again.
As you will see from the photos that the inside is in superb condition, basically it was mainly just me that used it and drove it.  There are a few marks on the upholstery that you would expect to see in a car of this age.
The things that definitely need to be done are 4 new tyres and a new exhaust as it is just coming to the end of its life.  The car needs topping up with oil every 2-3 weeks and I have been told by two different mechanics this is just due to the age of the engine.  There is a rattle somewhere and has been there since I bought her 12 years ago and nobody has been able to find it (3 different garages) and it has never caused any problems.  I visit family over 100 miles away and get a good 80 (oops I mean 70) out of her on the motorway.
As you will see from my photos that a little bit of rust has crept in and I would say the passenger door could do with being replaced as there is also a dent in it just by the handle where a ladder fell against it.  Also the other side of the handle on this door are little hand prints thanks to my granddaughter and we believe she had yogurt on her hands and the sun burnt it into the paint.
Oh the other thing that you will see in the dashboard photo is the engine light is on.  I have taken the car to 3 different mechanics to be checked and have been told the engine light is stuck on and they cannot access the control box as it has welded shut and would cost a lot of money to have a new box fitted.  The engine has been checked and there are no problems.
I have not had the air con working for quite a few years as I do not like it and once it ran out I did not get it refilled.
Other than this I love my car and will be very sad to see her go.
