Recent MOT fail. Drives and Starts fine. Sold as Spares or Repair.
**No Reserve**
We bought this vehicle last year to perform some occasional towing jobs, and became more attached to it than we had imagined, much more comfortable than my van. For a twenty year old vehicle with 213 miles on the clock it is pretty much all there... However, it has failed its MOT so we have decided to pass it on to someone who has the time and energy to look restore it to a roadworthy state, or to use around the farm, etc.
Good points:- starts every time- been used for daily driving until 2 weeks ago- reasonable appearance for age- tows like a train- sought after 3.1 engine- This was the LS "luxury" version, heated seats still work...
Bad points:
- There is also an oil leak, not yet diagnosed, not massive, but can send an image of my driveway to give you an idea.- MOT just failed, see fail sheet in photos,main points are:- needs 2 new rear tyres- corrosion at front of vehicle, see photos- bit of a prang at front of vehicle, see photos- brake imbalance across rear axle- excessive play on front wheel bearing
Minor niggles like electric wing mirror not working, electric aerial doesn"t work etc.
I have run this vehicle for a few months on approx 25% new straight vegetable oil from the cash & carry mixed in with diesel, it has a low tank at the moment, so smells particularly chip-shoppy. But it has been running fine on this mix, if I kept it I would increase the mix to 50% in summer.
