Fabulous car it has the original AJ6 ENGINE NOT A AJ16 THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE if you don"t know you should if you are buying an XJS goggle aj6 and enjoy the reading about this fabouluse engine I looked every where before I got this exact model no problems with this xjs model JAGUAR made this car up to 1991 with this engine then went to facelift model with plastic bumpers and aj16 engine it is well known about for its faults , I think this is the best engine JAGUAR EVER MADE for the xjs no daft v12 at 5-8 miles to the gallon nor the under powered 3.6 this is a 4LITRE AJ6 with sports button .Not bad on fuel 25miles -28miles on a run around the town 15-19 miles to the gallon , I have put new brakes new calliper, new brake fluid , new shock absorbers lots of receipts ,oil filter and oil just change to mineral oil 20/50 as recommended all receipts to prove ,new plugs also.
This car is ready to show and to use very usable classic engine and gearbox is stunning very nice, clean inside leather no rips I have put diamond quilted covers with JAGUAR on them so as to protect the VERY nice seats ,new head lineing so no sagging roof to worry about first to see will see how much work / love and care this car has had ,receipts from new old hand books MOTS AND HISTORY
