This is my cherished XKR I am a member of the XKEC Owners club and have been for the last 4 years.
Reason for sale.. I Fly and also have a bike hence you will see v low mileage between services it has simply not been used much in the last 2 years and that is a real shame this car turns heads..
i am interested in a part exchange especially 4wd with towing as this will be useful for the airfield but being a petrol head i am also interested in bikes and many other things so please feel free to offer px especially anything unusual
I have fully restored most of this car, over the last 5 years the body has just been fully restored as most early models have a lot of underlying rot - something all prospective buyers should be aware of...
Good early examples are hard to find at any price and bad ones will cost tens of thousands of pounds to get close to this one ! this is a classic Jaguar and one of the last of the great British built Jaguar super cars and examples as good as this are a wise investment..
This XKR has just been to John Chapman"s a well respected vintage and veteran car body specialist and had a full body restoration all seam welded so the body has been fully restored including new floor pans, wheel arches, chassis rails and much more - instructions were simple all rust or rot to be cut out and replaced no expense spared and also re-sprayed, it has had many special parts including full stainless exhaust £2200 with 100 cell stainless cats £800 so it sounds like a Jaguar should - easily as nice as the new F Type
Also top pulley super charger mod and the super charger has been blueprinted and port matched to the engine, poly bushes, Cryo treated vented and drilled disks fitted last year and rebuilt callipers, Goodridge flexible brake hoses all round, all brake pipes replaced, full service history from new to 2016 14 stamps - as of April 2014 to June 2015 she has been in the body shop being restored...
Recent receipts for over 12k.... steel liner 2001 engine re fitted by David Marks Jaguar 2013 £7500 spent with all receipts on getting Engine Gearbox and axle perfect and upto latest spec... full gearbox power flush and rear axle service,
New steel liner engine currently has 80k from new 10K since rebuild and fitment to this XKR with latest cam chain tensioner’s fitted & latest twin sided pulleys and belts fitted by David Marks Jaguar. Fully loaded with Premium Harmon Kardon stereo system in perfect working order excellent sound quality & Original Startack in car phone has even been restored by XKEC club member and can take any network sim and also has original mains charger..
Everything has been kept standard cosmetically apart from front grill and the R badge on the boot although the original XKR badge & grill have been kept...
Hydraulic hoses to hood have also been replaced at a cost of £1000 by Elite and Performance Jaguar Specialists for peace of mind as when old hood pipes fail they make a terrible mess another thing to be aware of when buying convertible XK Jaguars the upgraded pipes fitted will last a lifetime..
This is one of the very early shell back seat XKR"s that is sure to be a good investment and one of the few with a perfect body with no rust... It has the latest throttle body fitted with a spare boxed throttle body & I also have a spare pair of stainless steel silencers designed to fit into the current stainless steel exhaust if you want to tone the supercharged V8 down.... i also have a full set of coils as they have also been replaced for peace of mind... i could go on and on there is far to much to mention
This is a very nice example so £14k is a very fair price to ask - I am also open to serious offers & i may consider part exchange why if you are seriously interested..

This Jaguar has been loved and cherished & any inspection is welcome..
There are a few minor faults listed in the description as she is 16 years old and as such will not be perfect but in this condition it will make a sound investment that can be enjoyed and everything has been well looked after and sorted to a high standard...
Elite have worked on my car for the last 3 years and know it well they are also superb to deal with and offer a first class service at fair prices they have also always been honest..
