Jaguar XJ8 3.2 V8 (x308)- Only 55,000 miles! NEW HEAD LININGUpdated listing.  I have for sale my Jaguar XJ8.  The car now needs a new enthusiast to cherish her for the future. You can get cheap classic car insurance if you belong to a car club like The Jaguar Enthusiast Club. I am a member.The bodywork is excellent in condition . The Dark Saffire blue metallic paint work has a great shine and looks great. There are a couple of scratches on the nearside wing mirror but overall,for her age she is very good. It gets lots of admiring looks by passers by.The interior is in cream leather and in very good condition too.  The wood effect trim is in excellent condition and adds to the feeling of opulence. The car is fitted with a Parrot Bluetooth system which,according to the previous owner, is excellent. Once paired to your phone it works from the turn of the key and is wireless. It will even play music from your phone. My phone is so antiquated I could not use this kit. The instuctions and the box are present so you can sort it all out. The air con is cold and everything is working well. The car has covered approx 55,000 miles. This will rise a little as I am still using it regularly. The engine is smooth and responsive and I have had it serviced. It had a new air filter and fuel filter, a new oxygen sensor and a new Mass air flow sensor fitted. This all improved the performance markedly and cost £500. There was a slight delay on the gearbox on 1st gear. I have had it removed, stripped down and the fault rectified. A new clutch plate was required. The cost was £1400. I have driven 400+ miles since and the gearbox is now working perfectly. Just as it should.  A new rear silencer was needed when the gearbox was removed and the car now has a new Jaguar silencer and  back box on the exhaust.I have also fitted a new headling which looks great. No more sagging.When I purchased the car it required the few jobs doing to it as mentioned above and I have spent time and money on it to bring it back up to top condition and it is now a car to be proud of. With the very low milage and its great condition the car justifies its higher price. It is still lower than some examples of low mileage cars on the market. Alas I have to sell it to pay for other more boring things in life. Its a shame but I can pass the car in good shape to a new enthusiast.It is not perfect but is an excellent example of its age and with very low miles. The ride is quiet, smooth, and the car is effortless to drive. Everthing you expect form a Jaguar. Grace, pace and space!Mot due in March 2015. I dont fore see any problems at passing the MOT but I cant give you any guarantees. It is 15 years old, things can ware out. It should be ok.It is a great car and you feel very special driving it. It glides along the road and is effortless to drive.
