“I bought this vehicle, being aware of its problems, with a view to using it as my off road truck.However, another 'prep'd Cherokee" has changed my plans.This Cherokee is a silver 2003 , Crd Limited. Its covered almost 75,000 miles, Not and service book back this up.The vehicle is a cat D, looking at it I think its had damage to o/s/rear panel, now repaired.It gets worse, the vehicle is currently stuck in overdrive, I think it needs a solenoid, but not sure, worse case, or to fit a used gearbox. (£150 on eBay)Its Mot'd till Feb 16.Lovely leather interior.I drove it home from Hull (100 miles) no issues other than not going into top gear.Would make an ideal project, or donar vehicle, to good to scrap. vehicle description:

2003 Jeep Cherokee with less than 75 k on the clock.
Drives great, but won"t click up into top gear.
Think it"s stuck in overdrive, which is designed to stop it over revving when towing.
I"ve read up on the net and all the info suggests that its the overdrive solenoid.
Would make an ideal project as these things are great off road toy,
I don"t think this one has ventured into the mud looking at the tyres , bodywork etc.

The wheel in picture 5 is off my other Cherokee (square shape classic) I just wanted to see if they fit , they clearly do, so more opportunity buy cheap mud tyres, wheels if required.
