Here we have for sale a 1973 LAND Rover Series 3 2.25 petrol. It is being sold as spares or repair as it has no MOT.
It was retired in 2009 when so much welding was needed to the chassis, and at the time a rebuild was not possible.
The engine and gearbox have plenty of life left in them. It was last running in June 2015, when we discovered that water was getting in to the fuel tank.
I have tried to get it running today but I think the same has happened again.
It has been in the family since new and has had everything it needed even in retirement. My mother was going to use it arround the farm, but it never happened.
The LAND Rover bought to replace it is also for sale on here as we no longer have an use for them. It has a genuine 88,571 miles on the clock and I have a lot of paperwork to go with it.
The item can be viewed by prior arramgement and is located at SA433NN.
Cash on collection is preffered, and you will need to make arrangements for a trailer to move it.
This would make an excellent project as it is an untouched unaltered original vehicle, crying out for a full rebuild, which I don't have time for.
It is also tax exempt.
