vehicle description:

This is an advert for my 1989 (G Reg) 110 CSW Defender.
I have owned the vehicle for just under 2 years and have slowly been treating it to a rolling restoration; I am only selling it due to unforeseen circumstances.
The vehicle has at some point been fitted with a 200 Tdi engine which starts first time every time and pulls very well.  It had quite a lot of mechanical work undertaken before I bought it but the only mechanical job I have had to do is replace the transfer box rear oil seal and hand brake shoes.
The body work was in quite poor condition when I bought it and I have slowly been repairing all of the problems.  In particular all of the doors have been repaired along with sundry other minor panels around the wheel arches etc.  Underneath it is solid if a little scruffy and at some point it has had a new rear cross member.  It has finally been treated to a full re-spray in the original colour Arles Blue which I did myself and therefore whilst being more than good enough for most land rovers it is not a high gloss finish; I like it.
I have also replaced the door hinges, door handles, door seals and lights all round.  I have also replaced much of the carpet inside with heavy duty matting that will stand up to mud and water much better.  I will refit the door cards in the next couple of days once a few clips have arrived.  The seats are in good condition and the seats in the back have belts fitted.  I have the remaining 2 seats but the frames are not in great condition.  I bought a set of alloy wheels for it a couple of months ago and whilst the tyres are just legal they could do with changing.  I include the original steel wheels and tyres which have plenty of life left in them and they could just be swopped over to the alloys.
As I said, the reluctant and sad sale of my much loved Land Rover Defender.  I would be really grateful if only serious bidders took part as I can’t afford the time of being messed around; many thanks.
