EXTERIOR
The Ithaca Green paintwork shows in wonderful condition and is a menacing match with the angular and aggressive lines of this raging bull. The deep, rich metallic flake paintwork remains free of marks or chips largely thanks to the recently installed PPF installation that covers the bumper, bonnet, wings, headlights and mirrors. Extensive use of carbon fibre to sill extensions and boot lid, as well as plastic for rear window and quarter lights, save 80kg over the standard car.
This special edition has the extended front valance now matched in body colour, clear engine cover and unmistakeable Superleggera graphics that sweep across the top of the side sills.
INTERIOR
The cabin is a truly special place to be; a nest of Alcantara with Verde stitching outlining the framework of the headlining, dashboard and carbon fibre seats. The door cards look spectacular whilst offering significant weight saving, with lower dash and handbrake handle also treated to carbon fibre. Subtle chrome inserts offer a style and elegance against the lightweight theme.
Alcantara sweeps over the dash housing all the vital signs for the V10 unit sat behind you, whilst the Superleggera motif continues from the exterior and appears embossed on the seats, all of which remain soft and supple with no wear or marks to report.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Upon ignition there is no doubt that this is serious business as the car barks into life and settles immediately to a V10 warble, a quick pull of the right paddle shift engages 1st gear and the car pulls away with a minimum of fuss – no shunt or hesitation. Specific to this model the exhaust baffles open up at around 4k and an intense howl follows; totally addictive as you press on.
CORSA and SPORT buttons offer further flexibility between the marriage of electronics and contact patch, whilst the car can be respectably pared down with the fully auto’box option.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The lightweight designation would not be complete without fair treatment to the wheel selection; created by the legendary Fuchs with accompanying Superleggera signature. These unmarked graphite examples look just right wrapped in new Pirelli P Zero rubber, housing optional Composite brakes.
Brakes are in excellent order, operating with good pedal feel in pulling the car up with minimal dive, pitch or pull.
