Full Service History
The 4wd Lancia Delta Integrale is best known for its domination of
the World Rally Championship in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Constantly
being developed, the first ‘Evoluzione" cars were built at the end of 1991 and
carried on through 1992 and these "Evo" models were to be the final
homologation cars built for the Lancia Rally Team competing under the Martini
Racing banner.
Arriving in June 1993, a further development of the HF Integrale
naturally became known as the Evo II and featured an updated version of the
2-litre 16-valve turbo engine producing a little more power (215bhp) and
incorporated a three-way catalyst and a Lambda probe, with everything being run
by a new Marelli integrated engine control system.
In addition to the mechanical changes, the Evo II received a cosmetic and
functional facelift that included, new 16 light alloy rims with 205/45 ZR
16 tyres, a body colour roof moulding to underline the connection between the
roof and the Solar control windows, an aluminium fuel cap and air-intake
grilles on the front mudguards, a red-painted cam cover, a leather-covered
three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, and Recaro seats upholstered in beige
Alcantara with diagonal stitching.
The second generation Evo, as offered here, came out in 1993 with
more power, bigger wheels and tyres (with associated wheel arches), and a
16-valve engine with twin distributors giving both more torque and more power.
This particular Evo II was supplied new to Switzerland in 1993 and
was subsequently imported to the UK in 2001. This was common practice at that
time as the car was only ever produced in left-hand drive form and was supplied
in very limited numbers directly to the UK.
In 2007 its previous owner (2006-2015) treated this car to a full
bare shell, zinc primed re-spray in its original Monza Red which is documented
within the history folder. Between this restoration and sale in 2015, the car
had intermittent use. The mileage past 125,000km is subject to adjustment due
to a speedometer fault. This has been fixed under current ownership.
Performance upgrades include: Uprated kevlar clutch, lightened flywheel,
stainless steel exhaust, performance air filter and remap via ECU Chip.
The service history for this car is contained within a full arch
level file including Swiss invoices prior to importation, MOT’s, invoices, restoration
photographs and services document are catalogued and available for inspection. A service history this comprehensive is a
rarity for these cars and only serves to underpin the future value of this
particular car.
The maintenance bestowed on this car has been ‘no expense spared’.
