Lancia Ypsilon 1.2 16v Elephantino Rosso LHD. I have owned this car for 9 years. Selling now as spares or repair due to welding required to floor areas. Will not pass it"s next MOT which is due in December 2016. I would also suggest that it will need L/H front steel and front to rear brake lines replacing. R/H front has already been done.
Engine/box are perfect, had new front tyres last Feb. New coil packs and plug leads. Even the air con still works.
Please remember is it is for sale for spares or repair. It is 17 years old and need some TLC. To the right person it may have a few years of life left. Mechanical parts are common to 16v Punto.
Still in daily use but WILL NOT PASS THE NEXT MOT.
IT IS LEFT HAND DRIVE.
Have also remembered it had a new water pump last November. I also have a new rear wheel cylinder and a pair of new rear brake shoes. There is also a new head gasket (might need it one day)!
Need to mention that there is a smell of petrol coming from the rear when you have the window open. A bit like the old days of the Fulvia"s. I am guessing this is a breather pipe as I have been underneath looking for leaks and cannot find anything. Car still drives fine.
I simply don"t want to scrap this car as it has been a loyal servant for the last nine years. I am giving as honest opinion of it as I can. To the right person it has a lot of life left in it.
Remember it is 17 years old and has faults that need addressing, you may even consider a trailer to collect, that is your decision.
