Lotus 15 1958reproduction project
Lotus 15 series one project, tubular frame chassis is as near as you can get to the original car, all fusion welded, the chassis was all jig made. Front suspension is all complete, I was going to use either a rear live axle as per the Dizzy Addicott car or the independent Lotus set up. There is included a Lotus MK 14 elite alloy diff housing which needs machining. The engine bay is as original so a climax engine could be used or with a bit of tube juggling you could use a Buick or Rover V8 which most prob was the eventual route I was going to take. The body is an exact copy of an original car we think its most probably been molded off one off one of the team cars looks very similar to the Hill car. There is even the rivets molded into the scuttle panel and weld marks on the underside of the rear panel. This would make a very interesting project for someone and you would end up with a very presentable car unlike some restored original cars who’s body shape is not correct. There are a number of wooden former"s and interior alloy panels included, the sill bulkhead panels are the correct shape so outer sills will look correct.
This is as near as you can get to the original car.
