********. THIS IS THE ONE TO GET ********This is a superb low mileage and upgraded example of the 111r. The 111r model has the all aluminium Toyota 1.8 engine with twin cam and Variable Valve Timing and a 6 speed gearbox. As standard it gives a surge of extra power at 6,200 rpm but this example has had an ECU remap by Lotus to lower the take-up point to 5,700 rpm making the car far more flexible and making the power much more accessible.As standard the 111r exhaust note is rather dull and is definitely the weak point in my view but this example has a Larini sports exhaust fitted which not only increases power but sounds fantastic from start up to high revs with the occasional crackle too - perfect for the character of the car.This fine example is in Ardent red with Ventureshield paint protection applied at new and the paint is in fantastic condition. The interior is tan leather and being a 111R Touring it has as standard electric windows and air conditioning. There is a Blaupunkt Woodstock face-off cd/mp3/Stereo radio/Digital recorder and a Cobra Alarm/Immobiliser. The black soft top is in as new condition.This beautiful example has only covered 27k miles from new and has full Lotus specialist SH.
