vehicle description:
Lotus Elise 111s 2003 1.8 VVC New cambelts Fully serviced
Just recently the car had a niggling problem that it would idle when stationary. I took it to my local specialist and they checked over the whole car, Still couldn’t find the problem, its since been to Paul Matty where they have done a lot of work to the car. I have just picked the car up today and having set up my own business im forced to get rid of my Lotus.
Having spent around £3,500 in the last month, with the both cam belts being done and the services im confident the car has a clean bill of health. The guys at Paul Matty said the car is running spot on now. Work this month carried out on the car:
Replacement of the Cam belts including rear (£1000.00 Job that won’t need doing in the near future)Brand new VVC UNIT Replacement of all cam cover gasketsOli filter & Oli x 2 at each garage to flush the engineA complete check of the cars electrical circuit, voltage and sensor check. (including a range of new sensors ect.)A compression check of the engineIt had a A service which includes a full check of the suspension ect. A complete check of the exhaustA ECU test and full Lotus diagnostic of the car.
Previous owners: 3, last one being a doctor that owned the car for 10 years.
Millage: 72k
MOT till: April 2016, (No advisories)
Service history: 10 x Lotus, 1 garage (which i bought it from), 1 most recent at my local Lotus Specialist
I bought this car in 2014 early spring and with work commitments sadly it means getting rid of my pride and joy. I bought the car from a reputable garage in Derby which had a 3 month warranty. The garage had it sent to Paul Matty (Well know Lotus specialist) for a few repairs. Having spoken to the guys it seemed they spent a lot of money to it getting it in a really nice condition with a full check over. So I’ve spent summer enjoying the drive and keeping it really tidy while also spending a lot of money on it.
Upgrades include:
A premium Sony head unit with iPod dock inside the unit.4 premium Alpine speaker upgradeThe whole car was fitted with Dynamat super light (to reduce panel vibration which improves the sound of the engine no end)A BMC CDA induction kitLotus yellow brake callipers all round.Bosch batteryBrushed 1 piece aluminium indicator stalks Wheels have no curbing and look good as newA brand new Cobra thatcham 1 alarm and immobiliser fitted with both fobs and 2 keysComes with a car cover for use indoor or outdoor.
I also have a wallet of invoices and receipts of work that the cars had done over the years, which includes the renewal of the inlet manifold gaskets which are common to fail on these engines. Body work on the car is really nice, some stone chipping and the odd tiny mark but it does look in great condition. I wash the car regularly and do enjoy using quality products on the car as it looks stunning when its immaculate.
Please note that the millage on the clocks (55139) differ to the official millage (72439).The garage I purchased it from had the dials changed as there was a failure when they had the car. They put clocks in it but i have all the paper work and receipts of the work also. I have had a word with the guys from Paul Matty and they said this is a common fault and with a record of the millage in history it isn’t a problem.
The car drives great, best car i have driven and its a real drivers car. The 1.8 vvc engine produces 160 bhp as its the 111s which can take the car from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and up to around 135mph. The real strength is its ability to corner like no other car, I’ve never driven such a responsive fun car. As the car is so light you also get 40 miles to the gallon and tax is cheap too. It really is a great car to own, im very sad to be selling it.
Im a honest seller and i think its a honest price for the car. Im available to answer any further questions you have about this car.
Thank you.
