Lotus Elise S2, 2001, 12 Months MOT, Full service history, Lots of Extras - LOW START PRICE - NO RESERVE
The time has come to sell my pride and joy, this has been my daily car for the last 2 years. Relisted as I wanted to fix the chirping noise which turned out to be the aux belt. This has been replaced and the car now has a fresh MOT for 12 months (no advisories).
The car is clear of any finance but unfortunately is registered on HPI as a Cat D, this was due to a small front end traffic incident that damaged the front clam only slightly and there was no other damage to the front end or crash box. It does however have a few of the usual stone chips that you would expect on these cars.
The car suffered HGF around 6 months ago so the engine was rebuilt, the head fully refurbished and correctly skimmed, new valves, tappets, springs, head bolts and the upgraded MLS Gasket. This was finished off with a fresh cambelt and aux belt kit so they won"t need doing for another 60k.
Whilst it was off the road the whole car received a mechanical overhaul that included new bushes (uprated polybushes) all round, new Gaz Gold Coilovers, Braided brake lines, New Discs & Pads all round. The tyres are semi slick with plenty of tread left, they look worn in the picture but thats just the style of tread pattern.
It has been serviced religiously and comes with a full up to date and stamped service record. Its is a fantastic car to drive, the race car like experience is something that brings a smile to your face every time you drive it, the 2Bular exhaust sounds incredible and the handling is something only usually found in a supercar.
In my ownership apart from all the features listed below and service items I have added new HT leads, plugs, engine multi-function relay unit, water pump, starter motor and rear wheel hub bearings.
As you can see from the above and the spec list below it has had most if not all of the wear and tear parts replaced recently with uprated parts. The std radiators are known to blow so this was replaced with an aluminium one as it seemed the sensible option due to everything else being refreshed.
***EDIT*** The car has just had a new Aux belt fitted as the other one was chirping, the alternator was also checked and is in very good condition although it is only around 18 months old. ***EDIT******EDIT*** new 12 months MOT with no advisories ***EDIT***
