MGTF 135
I had been looking for a MGTF 160 for several months with a view to doing some touring with my son over the summer but never managed to find one in the colour I wanted (X power grey) and in a reasonable condition.
So as the next best thing bought this one which has all the nice features of the 160 but with the 135 engine (No VVC) It is a limited edition which I belive MG built as the run out model before production ceased. It has the Big Red calipered MG Brakes at the front, the bigger 16 wheels and the alcantara seats basically everything I wanted except the engine. As a bonus it also had a grey roof to match the car with a full glass rear window not the usual cheap plastic one that splits and cracks.
Anyway as I planned to do some mileage in this car I replaced the head gasket as a precaution, replaced the cambelt kit, the waterpump, the oil & Filter, the fuel filter, the air filter and the rear brakes, I also bought some new number plates and various other cosmetic bits a new aerial etc.
Anyway then as typical luck would have it a friend of mine found the exact same car but this time a 160 same colour and everything so I bought it.
Therefore this car is now up For Sale.
It is MOT"d until 30th March 2017 and comes with all the bits listed above done, its not in absolute perfect condition as it is obviously 11 years old now but no big areas of rust or anything like that. The bonnet which is a common weakness on these looks like it has been painted at some point (colour matches well) and I found a small area on the drivers side which also looks like it has had a bit of paint on it, but the colour matches well and the work has been done. I"m not saying this to put anybody off just being honest about its condition. It also has the odd small scratch and chip hear and there as you would expect.
I would encourage and welcome viewings on the car to see it in the fresh so you know what your buying its currently taxed and insured so will happily take you for a spin, as am now working my way through doing all the bits listed above yet again on my new one :-( so mileage may increase a bit from the photos shown.
