I have owned this MG ZR 120 for the past year I bought it in May 2014 as I needed something a little bigger for the family; my previous car being an MG ZR 160. It has been well looked after and has never let me down. I am only the second owner of the car. It’s surprising good on fuel and is a real pleasure to drive and has plenty of power when needed. It starts first time from hot or cold and maintains the correct operating temperature. The air-conditioning works as it should, as does everything electrical. It recently went straight through its last MOT! Recently the head gasket did start to go, but we caught it early and had it repaired straight away. The head gasket is under warranty by MG Rover Mobile Mechanics up until 24th Feb 2016, so extra piece of mind against it going again like some bodge job repairs out there! The Warranty stays with the car registration and not the owner.
It has four decent tyres on with loads of tread and the alloys are in pretty good nick too with virtually no kerbing marks. The interior is the MK.2 black half leather with chequer cloth centres. I’ve bought brand new black foot mats with blue edging to freshen the overall look up. Underneath the mats the carpet is in great condition and the roof lining is also clean.
 I will be sorry to see it go, but we have purchased something a little bigger yet again! We’ve had a few Rovers now, including a ZR 105, ZR 160, Rover 118is and an MG ZR T16 running over 220 BHP! We have finally decided to go away from the scene and we now own a Vauxhall Zafira GSI to cart the kids about!
There are a few little bits that need sorting but all minor stuff, the sort of stuff most people don’t tell you when they sell you a car, but I’d rather be completely open so the buyer knows exactly what to expect if they come to view the car;
The car has some minor scratches and dints that have come about with age but nothing major, looks really nice when polished up. The rear bumper has a small crack in and could really do with taking off and fitting correctly. But it’s been like this since we got the car a year ago and it hasn’t got any worse also the rear MG logo badge has fell off. I have it, but have decided to leave it up to the new owner if they want to glue it back on or get a new replacement badge. There is a small leak in the boot, probably coming through the rear light cluster (common fault). Finally, the Oil & Coolant could do with changing just to flush out the gunk from the recent head gasket failure, I have a spare oil filter you can take to get you started!
