THIS PROJECT WILL MAKE THE RIGHT PERSON WITH THE CORRECT SKILLS SOME GOOD MONEY/PROFIT AS THE COOPER D HOLD THERE VALUE ANYWAY THEN AS ENGINE HAS ONLY 15000 MILE ON IT SHOULD MAKE MORE..
THE ONLY REASON ITS FOR SALE IS I HAVE SPENT 6 WEEKS AND ANOTHER £800 AND IT STILL NEEDS WORK AND I CAN NOT BE BOTHERED AS I HAVE OTHER MORE IMPORTANT HOT ROD PROJECTS.

Where do I start, I brought the Mini 16 April 2015 for my Daughter at a fairly good price due to the high mileage. It had a years MOT carried out on the 06 of April 2015 but after collecting the and driving it home I found on a good daylight inspection it needed 2 new tyres and a new turbo....? not bad in 10 days (turns out the bloke who sold me the car also carried out and signed the MOT certificate).
After fitting the new tyres and turbo my daughter used it for the rest of the year back and forward to university with relatively no problems apart from the oil smell.
MOT 2016 the car its self sailed through the MOT with no advisories but the engine failed on the following:
001 Exhaust emits excessive smoke or vapour of any colour (burning oil) 7.4.B.4
002 Exhaust emits excessive levels of metered smoke for a turbo charged engine 7.4.B.3B
As the car/engine has 197000 miles on the clock I decided to replace the engine.
A 15000 mile Ford/Peugeot PSA engine from a 2014 Ford Fiesta TDCI was purchased for the job.
All the Mini control items MAF, EGR, TROTTLE CONTROL VALVE, etc where changed over, the cam shaft sprocket and new timing belt fitted, a new turbo was also fitted due to heat damage.
Also as the engine was out I replaced the clutch pressure and drive plates. When the engine was back in the car started first time and drives very well.
But now the car hesitates between idle and 1500rpm then goes like a train, I took it back for a emissions test and if failed on the same things....?
I have been told by a top Diesel Tech that because my daughter used the car the year that the DPF is probably blocked with soot causing the hesitation and smoke and the inter cooler and pipe work is full of oil, so both will require cleaning out, burning out, or replacing. But as I have no interest so its over to someone else.
GOOD BITS: 2007 MiniCOOPER D, Starts & Drives, New 15000 mile engine, New turbo, Injectors only done 15000 miles, New clutch, New timing belt, comes with both sets of Alloys in pictures,
ALL the above new items are Receipted.
BAD BITS No MOT, DPF requires cleaning / replacing, Inter Cooler and feed pipes require cleaning / replacing, Stone chip in screen (Not MOT fail) DMF now noisy at idle probably requires bleeding as its fine with slight peddle pressure, drivers side bonnet latch /cable sticking.
