Being a widetrack model this car benefits from (amongst other things) the updated & greatly improved Hawkeye (2006 onwards) center console. Also the car is fitted as standard with Subaru’s DCCD gearbox (Driver Controlled Centre Diff) which allows you to alter the power distribution from a more rear wheel driven bias, although not fully RWD; right to the fully locked position (ideal in snow) more akin to a traditional 4x4. This also features an auto mode, where the cars many sensors do the hard work and distribute the power as the system sees fit. This gearbox combined with the bulletproof 2.0 engine (when run on 99 octane fuel such as Shell V Power) bridges the gap between the previous UK market newage-Imprezas with the stronger 2.0l engines but no DCCD and the later Hawkeye 06-on cars with DCCD but the more failure prone 2.5l block.
One of the last of the more sought after Blobeye widetrack model on a rare 06 plate with the stronger 2.0 engine.
Quite rare to find a Crystal grey Blobeye Sti. Depending on sunlight/time of day this can appear as anything from gunmetal grey to silver to a champagne gold colour in bright light. The car exterior of the car is in excellent condition with only very minimal age related marks, you would be hard pushed to find a better example. I have owned a number of Sti"s over the years and this is by far the best example i have owned. The interior is in equally as good condition as the exterior.
