vehicle description:

Welcome to my 3200GT listing. Probably the best available in the UK.
There is a long story associated with my acquisition of this beautiful car but I"ll leave that for a conversation if you"re interested.
Originally built for the UK market this car was purchased in the midlands for the cousin of a wealthy Italian businessman. Some 3 years later the cousin moved to America and the wealthy uncle drove it to Sicily where it sat in a garage under his house until I happened upon it last summer. The car has covered 33K miles from new and with the exception of a few scuffs to the corners, which I have had professionally repaired, it was in perfect condition as confirmed by the owner of the Audi approved body shop that repaired the scuffs. That said the very first movement of this car was onto a trailer. No cam belt horror stories thank you very much! As it was in August and in case you don"t know Italy closes in August for holidays, the car was taken to a couple of private specialists where the engine and brakes were fully serviced, belts changed etc using original Maserati parts. I then drove it back to my home in Italy where subsequently I have had a new clutch, the nephew of the uncle who was selling the car told me the uncle, who is an old man kept slipping the clutch all the way back to Sicily. Finally I changed the tyres as they were original and had gone hard and were showing signs of cracking. I also had the leather on the dashboard professionally replaced, the originals shrink as Maserati don"t leave much overlap on the original fitting. All work carried out on the car was undertaken by time served specialists. The engine was serviced by an independent Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and Lotus trained expert. The brakes and clutch by an Audi expert and the paint by an approved Audi expert. The car obviously comes with the original handbooks, 3 keys and remotes and receipts for the work I have had done. All services up to the last one have been done by Maserati main dealers in the UK. Interestingly when I asked the guy in Italy for a history file he looked at me and said it didn"t have history. After a pause he added for it to have history it would of had to breakdown. Point taken!
What else. I haven"t registered the car in the UK although I checked with the DVLA and it"s still on their system, hence the number plates, so it"s easily re-registered. In fact I"ve only covered about 1000 miles since I had all the work carried out. So I haven"t registered it in my name which means you would be it"s second owner.
Are there any negatives? None of any significance really, the tool kit under the spare wheel is missing and I"ve yet to replace the chrome wheel nuts which I will do before passing it on.
Why am I selling it? When I bought the car I had planned to return to the UK with it but circumstances have changed and I now live mostly in Italy. If it were left hand drive then you wouldn"t be reading this but a right hand drive is a difficult car to live with here so I thought it better in the hands of an enthusiast in the UK. Someone who will look after her. Sorry, I"ve been avoiding any reference to the female form but one"s just slipped out. This car is a rapidly appreciating classic Maserati, one of the last before Ferrari started tinkering around with them. I doubt you will find a better or more honest one. It is situated in Italy, Tuscany to be precise. The lucky new owner could chose to get a cheap flight to Pisa where I would be happy to meet you at the airport, perhaps recommend a nice hotel if you fancied staying a couple of nights. You could view the car at my home, conclude the sale then perhaps share a meal with us. You could then either chose to drive back to the UK at your leisure taking in the beautiful Italian Appennino mountains, the Alps and some wonderful French villages, or German if you chose to return that way. Or of course you could arrange collection or I could bring it over for you at the cost of a return trip.
I have many more pictures and could even arrange a video tour of the car if it helps. Obviously it would be fully valeted.
I should point out this car is advertised elsewhere so I could cancel this advert at any time.
