This is an advert for my beloved 10th anniversary MX-5.
It was purchased with the idea of restoring it to top condition, however my wife has fallen ill and isn"t able to work. I not only won"t have the time to work in it but any money I can recoup for it would be very helpful at the moment.
Let"s start with the good. The bodywork is pretty good, there is rust but it isnt very bad and I bought it because the sills to me looked good.
As it is the special edition it has a 6 speed gearbox, awesome blue interior and a limited slip differential.
It drives nicely, starts and stops well and pulls smoothly and shifts very well in every gear.
It is economical for how nippy it is and I have driven it 3-4 times a week for the 5 months I"ve owned it.
While I"ve had it it"s had a service at 80,000 along with all the belts at the front of the engine.
The not so good.
It may need the rear pads doing soon, and the ABS light comes on intermittently.They"re the only things that I think could need doing for the MOT in Jan.
It is due next month, I would put it through but as mentioned before money has become tight and I don"t have a driveway to hide it away until I could fix it.
I emphasize again this is a very reluctant sell, and I want it to go to good use as it is a limited edition with a niché following within the MX-5 community.
