For Sale is my wife"sMercedes C200 Kompressor.
We purchased the vehicle in November 2013 with 90714 miles as noted on the MOT. the car is in stunningMercedes Red with Genuine AMG alloys finished in black these combined with the panoramic roof gives the car a real eye catching appeal and always turns heads.
The factory exhaust back box called it a day in August 2014 and it was cheaper to fit a new stainless steel system from the front cat backwards than fitting just the rear box, don"t panic the system has been fitted to give as close to original sound as possible not the usual deep throat sound associated with a stainless steel system. having said that it does have a bit of a growl on start up but once you start driving then its not noticeable.
April 2015 saw the engine fall over bending a few valves and us having the full top end rebuilt, after quite some considerable time, money and two garages later we got the car back, the fix was quite simple the first guys had the cam pulleys on back to front E is not Exhaust, A is Auspuf its German for Exhaust then amazing it all worked great, word of advice these cars don"t like being started on a two post lift with the suspension on full drop it freaks the traction control management out giving us another job to fix the steering wheel sensor has been replaced and checked by the Mercedes main dealer.
The car had done 105753 miles at the time of taking the photo"s as the car is my wife"s daily driver it will have changed a little bit but she only does short trips to work and back home again. The engine is showing signs of what we are told is likely to be a head gasket leak, after the fun we had last time we do not feel it is worth the stress and expense for us to do this work again.
The car is thirteen years ish old and whilst looks stunning the old girl is starting to show signs of age ( don"t we all ).
Along with the possible engine problem, the parking brake on the nearside rear wheel has been adjusted several times and works for six months or so then needs adjusting again we were told that the cable may need replacing.
The body work is starting to show some blisters on the paintwork to the rear wheel arches, together with the usual stone chips on the bonnet and other areas, the front bumper has two areas of orange peal one either end of the front number plate.
The drivers door lock has the common bouncing door lock, looking this up on the internet its an easy fix but we have just not had the time so we have a paper clip assisting with the door locking at this time.
The interior leather trim is still in really great shape as seen in the photo"s, the rear parcel shelf only has one working support cord, it was like this when we bought the car and generally leave it disconnected as not to stress the parcel shelf., both front seats have usual rub marks from getting in and out of the seats but in really great condition.
When we purchased the car we had brand new Firestone Firehawk SZ90 tyres fitted there is still plenty of tread left.
The car has been great for long distances and with the engine been supercharged is has tonnes of power and easily keeps with most things.
The car has the original manufacturers CD/Radio with 6 disk multi changer and one in the head unit.
The service history is up to date and we can provide receipts for the work that we have had done, the original handbooks are still with the vehicle.
The MOT expires 28th November 2016. The last MOT certificate has two advisories, NSF and OSF front wheel bearings have slight play.
The car is currently on SORN.
