I bought this car in a complete moment of madness, not even seeing it first. Needless to say the muppets who soldme it were no great mechanics. Anyway, I put my hand deep in my pockets and have fixed everything, brakes, tyres,water pump, mass airflow meter etc. I then had it serviced by a Mercedes independent specialist and had the airconre-gassed.
The car is now in excellent mechanical order, in the meantime, as it wasn"t useable I bought another Audi.I don"t need this car and the wife is moaning at me to sell it. we did a long weekend trip in the car and it went effortlessly, very comfortable in the opulent interior with wood facings and a great sound system too.
Plus Points:* Full service history including the last one in April 2019.* Two new tyres on the rear, good tyres on the front.* The economical and powerful 2.7 engine for relaxed motorway miles.* Electrically adjustable steering wheel, drivers seat and 3 memory switches.
Minus Points:The muppets mentioned earlier have swiped the drivers door chrome strip and offside front bumper.The nearside headlamp washer is broken and the cover missing, I ordered one (£38), got it and have sent itback as it was the wrong one, if it comes it will be with the car.The bodywork is actually not bad for the age, the front bumper needs a re coat, there are a few scratchesaround the car and the upper surfaces could do with a mechanical buff to bring the shine up.Two nearside alloys have hit the curb over the years. Central locking sometimes needs to be pressed twice to lock.Only one key.
If you want a cheap reliable luxury coupe this is worth a punt, I have spent over £2000, somewhere over a grandwill buy it just to move on. Message me if you want to view before bidding.
