This excellent 3.5 litre 4x4 has many plus points such as a really comfortable driving position with loads of torgue; a 10 CD multi-changer; 7 leather seats; the option of automatic and semi automatic transmission etc. However I will now highlight 4 minor issues with the car in order to demonstrate true transparency, about its condition.
1.The two rear wheel arches show signs of corrosion ( see photos 8 and 9). We have been told there is no detriment to the structure of the car which passed its last MOT with no advisories. Apparently these areas of rust are common on Shoguns of this age.
2.After we had a new starter motor fitted on the car in December 2017 a warning light has been ever present on the dash (see photo 10). The cars runs great, and we have recently and often travelled to Liverpool, Shropshire etc at high speeds on and off the motorways with no issues what so ever.
3.Although there are two keys and the central locking is working, it only operates when the front passenger door or boot are locked or unlocked.
4.The lever on the rear passenger seat behind the drivers seat has stopped working. That is, you can no longer recline the seating position or get into the extra two seats in the boot from this side. It appears to be a simple fix, but we just don"t have the time and access can be made via the other rear passenger seat.
