Mitsubishi Jeep J53 WILLYS 2.7 TURBO DIESEL 4X4 SOFT TOP ON /OFF ROAD
 
This is my 4x4 soft-top J53 Jeep made by Mitsubishi under licence from Jeep. It is based on a CJ3 (Civilian Jeep) made by Willys, the main difference to the military spec Jeep is that it has a tail gate for easy loading. Mitsubishi has made these under licence since the fifties in various versions this model has the reliable diesel engine and turbo. It has a powerful 2700cc Mitsubishi Turbo Diesel, four speed manual gearbox with mechanical transfer and low/ high range selector. The mechanics are very simple which makes these reliable with few electronics to go wrong. I have recently done a trip to Normandy in France without a single problem, it drives well and is great fun bombing around with the roof off. The mileage is also very low at only 53500 miles and the Jeep is in very good condition throughout, the underbody has all been greased and under sealed

Every thing works as it should do it still has the original stereo fitted and a newer CD / Radio unit, this has a band expander fitted and speakers on the roll bar. The rear seat bases have been removed to accomodate the roll bar but this can be swapped back if required but I do not have the seat bases. The floors are all sound and the engine pulls very hard, these are excellent off road vehicles with the short wheel base and steep approach and decent angles makes it ideal off road, lots of YouTube clips are available showing the off road capability of these Jeeps.
The roof comes off and the screen folds flat on the bonnet to give that true Willys Jeep experience, it has fitted very comfortable bucket seats and seat belts
