Mitsubishi Gto twin turbo manual, stunning car! Thousands spent!
Mark 1 1990. Mot until July 2016. Low mileage!
I have owned this car for little over a year and purchased it as a companion to my other Gto. I first bought the car with the intention of doing a small amount of work on it and then using as a daily driver but once I started I got a bit carried away!
The car has been stripped back, panels off and restored. 
The car has 85k on the clock but most of this will be kilometres before being converted although I do not know when the conversion was done. My guess would be 60-70k miles overall.
All the hard pipes underneath (rear wheel steer, fuel line and oil lines) are in perfect condition and conformation of the low mileage. My other Gto has 100k on the clock and all hard pipes had to be replaced (for comparison). Nevertheless, the underside, suspension and wheel arches have all undergone restoration and painting. They now look like new. The car has zero rust!
The car has had a full respray in black with a metallic gold flake (genuine Mitsubishi X42) and looks very shiny. The only parts I didn’t paint were the side skirts which weren"t too bad so I left them be.
I have receipts for most of the new parts, which come to several thousand…
- Body… Resprayed as the original paint was old and faded. The underneath has been restored and looks amazing, subframes and brackets rust treated and painted as is the fuel tank.
Front bumper has been filled and smoothed for a more modern look and is completed with Zunsport grills. Door trim, handles, wiper panel and boot trim have been bare metal polished and lacquered for a unique look. 
- Engine and gearbox… Engine cleaned with mirror polished plenum and rocker cover, chrome injector harness cover, dress up kit and silicone hoses everywhere. Fully serviced with Fuchs Titan race pro engine oil, k&n oil filter and new sump and filler plugs, also a brand new oil filter housing.
All new belts including timing belt with new pulleys, tensioners and idlers. 3rd gen hydraulic lifters have been fitted. New gaskets on rocker cover, plenum, thermostat housing and water filler neck.
Uprated fuel rail link pipe and a quality aluminium plug cover have been fitted along with polished y-pipe and sports air filter with correct adaptor, also polished.
Gearbox has just been changed to the later 25 spline 5 speed box with matching transfer box. Original 18 spline box is available with the car but has wear to the 3rd gear syncro but could be useful as a spare.
- Wheels… Original 17” Gto alloys but they have been painstakingly mirror polished and look superb, D2 spec anodised wheel nuts and painted centre caps complete the look. New tyres all round.
- Brakes… Mark 2 big brake conversion! Callipers have been stripped back and repainted, seals and pistons are in excellent condition. New pads all round, handbrake shoes checked, new front discs and hose technic braided hoses front and back.
- Lighting… HID head lamp conversion, new clear front and side indicators, new front fog lamp bulbs and new rear fog light.
- Exhaust… New down pipes, de-cat pipe and centre exhaust with all new gaskets. Rear exhaust is original and has been restored and painted.
- Interior… Mostly original and in exceptional condition for age, even the driver’s seat has very little wear to the bolster. I have fitted new gear stick and handbrake leather covers and have re-upholstered the transmission tunnel carpets with a blue leather-look vinyl. 
- Anything else… A brand new windscreen has been fitted due to a small crack in the original. It has a new battery and new battery clamp kit.
New front track rod ends fitted after advisory about old ones at Mot. New wipers front and rear.
Bearing in mind the car is 25 yrs-old, it is in exceptional condition with very few marks on the body work and is 100% solid underneath.
Viewing is recommended, inspections welcome. No test pilots, I will drive the car on any test runs, until payment has been completed, no offence but this car means a lot to me.
The only performance modifications to the car are the fuel rail adaptor, air filter, lightweight crank pulley and the de-cat pipe. I already have a heavily modified Gto and so for this car I wanted it as standard as possible with only mild performance gains. Estimated to be 300bhp 20bhp up from standard.
Comes with a USB stick containing all the photos of the build.

This is a very special car and a real investment opportunity. Not many Gtos in this condition.
