Here we have a Nissan ELGRAND Diesel Automatic. It is a 1997 car and is a Japanese import, insurance is no problem, went straight on my policy. On 1st January 2017, this vehicle becomes eligible for classic insurance, for which I normally pay £99 through Footman James, with no NCB required.
I bought this vehicle after my wheelchair capable Toyota Previa was crashed in to whilst parked. I needed a vehicle that I could install a wheelchair lift or ramp in to as my son needs this for travel. So, I bought the ELGRAND and bought the lift (shown in the last photo, only resting in the back, not installed at all, and not included in this sale) but then discovered that once the lift is installed, there would not be enough space for my son"s special chair as the middle row of seats is quite large, hence now up for sale.
The mileage is 95,000 miles, but this is a mix of KM & Miles so the actual mileage will be lower than this, it shows 154,500 km on the clocks and the speedo reads in MPH so no need to convert in your head form KMH. Engine and gearbox are 100% solid, no leaks or problems, alternator changed recently, pulls like a train and should go on forever. No timing belt to change as it is gear driven. Driven 400 miles since purchasing it and had no problems at all. Car starts first time instantly and runs fine, a nice smooth drive. Last owner said it was serviced recently around 2000 miles ago, checked the air filter and it"s brand new. This is a genuine sale, decided to buy a car with a ramp or lift already fitted, bought yesterday and you can see it when you visit.
Bodywork is straight but it"s 19 years old so there are scuffs and scratches all around, body kit is a bit untidy but it"s OK. In 2012 it was recorded as a CAT D, probably the rear bumper as it shows signs of a poor repair, car is structurally sound, tyres have lots of tread, but need a balance as they vibrate a bit around 65mph. Spare tyre and tool kit are present. MOT expires 29th October, so nearly a full 6 months to go and it should pass without fuss. V5 is present and in my name.
Interior is generally in good condition, this is the posh version with leather seats and suede(?) blue inserts. I had the carpets washed in a laundry as they needed it. The rest of the interior is fine with no rips or burns that I can see, all seats fold and swivel as they should and all seats have working seat belts.
What doesn"t work: Sunroofs (maybe fuse, haven"t checked as can"t find it), the front control panel above the driver for the rear heating is blank (maybe fuse again). Heating and AC work fine. The backlight for heating controls has gone so at night you need a light to see it, easy enough when you know what the buttons do. These are all small issues, the car itself is a workhorse ready for duty. This is the cheapest ELGRAND in the UK and very close to London. I would guess that this is the best value diesel automatic 8 seater in the UK, ideal for families, especially for long trips. Very comfortable, especially for rear passengers, seats fold flat and also swivel around to make a living room with 3 passengers facing 3 passengers in the rear and at least one of the front seats also swivels. Good candidate for a camper conversion?

Please remember this is a 19 year old car and is as cheap as chips so please come with realistic expectations. I can collect you from the local train station if it"s of any help.
