GOOD BITS -
Still has a couple weeks of MOT left and there is no reason it won"t sail through the next one (last mot had no advisories and am not expecting any next time).
Just had new plugs, oil, coolant & filters.
Also around March/May had £700 spent on a new timing chain kit & water pump - have receipts.
Four brand new tyres (only done about 1000 miles on them!)
Rust free!
New discs and pads on front.
Absolutely no knocks, clunks or otherwise untoward noises.
Engine is quiet and smooth.
BAD BITS -
Two strange spots, one on passenger side above door and one at rear where the top layer of paints come off. No rust. Been like it since before I had it.
Passenger side front indicator lens has a small crack in it. Still functions.
Starter motor on the odd occasion makes a noise just after cranking. To me it sounds it is hanging up a little bit when disengaging from the flywheel. I have a new starter motor which I will give with the car. I was going to replace it if it got any worse but it hasn"t so I just ended up living with it. Car still starts perfectly fine and is an easy job to replace.
Small blow at join between downpipe and front exhaust section. Just needs a new gasket - it does resonate about 3,400 RPM though and in 5"th gear causes a little bit of a vibration when doing about 70ish.
Seems to be running a bit rich, especially when cold. Have replaced the MAF sensor but never got to the bottom of it. Is a little bit smokey until fully warmed up but still drives fine and still getting normal MPG, so again, have just lived with it.
Drives and goes as it should otherwise.
Reason for sale is I got a bigger car.
As I have only one parking space at home the car is currently located at my work. CB75TL area.
