Here we have for sale my Nissan Almera, 1.4 petrol. 79,000 miles
long MOT, until July next year, went through this year with minimal issues, with only two minor advisories.
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it"s a solid little thing, great MPG and drives without fault, even the air - conditioning works.
I bought this from my local garage that have serviced my cars for years as an interim car as I had sold my vehicle and needed something to whizz around in whilst waiting for the dealer to deliver my new one. This apparently is arriving at the end of next week, so the Nissan will be surplus hence the sale. It really is a brilliant little thing, it"s obviously got a few marks here and there. The pictures make it look a bit better than it is, but rest assured it"s a great little driver. I"ve got a wad of information, including MOT"s. The full V5 hasn"t arrived yet but potentially will arrive prior to sale ending, but I have the V5C and a receipt of my purchase of it from the garage to prove I do actually own it and will of course provide a receipt to the next owner. The garage have serviced it for years and know it well hence why I bought it.
I"ll describe it fully below.
Bodywork
Good overall condition, the bumper corners have scrapes on them, but only cosmetic. It"s had the rear of the sills welded. They have been hammerited so are a different colour to the main car, you can see in the pictures, and a can of spray could sort this out. It"s nice and solid though, no rust elsewhere.
Wheels/Tyres
Alloy wheels in good condition, nearly new tyres of good brand, with lots of tread left.
Suspension
No knocks or bangs, steering straight with no slack in the rack. No vibration at any road speed whether on smaller roads or motorway
Engine
1.4 16v twin cam, I think 85bhp. Chain driven. A surprisingly lively little engine that is capable of cruising nicely at motorway speeds and doesn"t get out of puff. It uses no fluids, the oil is good as are the filters. No mixing of oil and water, and no oil drips underneath. It"s been serviced regularly at the garage (Tickenham Garage, North Somerset) for a number of years and previous owner well known to them. She"s owned it for years, as did the previous owner, who also used to take it there.
Gearbox / Clutch
Absolutely fine, 5 speed, all work with no whining, clutch is fine also with no slipping.
Electrical systems.
2 keys, with remotes locking. (Working)
All fine, electric front windows, wind up rears. Air con, as mentioned earlier works perfectly. I"ve had it on in the recent heat and cools perfectly. All other electrical things work. It"s fitted with a superfandango Blaupunkt Bronx 75 cd player, which I think is good. however let down by the rear speakers (no sound from the front..) which sound like a pair of paper bags with sound pushed through them. It"s not going to satisfy you if you are a real music lover, lets just say it"s not a harmon-kardon Logic 7 surround system...but....it"s tunes of sorts!
To sum up - as I said above really, it"s not going to win any beauty contests but if you are after a cheap to run reliable car that runs and drives perfectly it"s the one for you, it"s going to keep going for a long time yet I"m convinced, Obviously I can"t guarantee this due to the nature of all things mechanical but I"m certainly not selling it with any faults that I"m hiding. It"s done it"s job perfectly for me whilst I"ve been waiting for the new car to arrive. I"m still using it this week so the current miles of 79,014 will creep up a little.
We are located in Tickenham, North Somerset BS21 (Not Twickenham...) Potential bidders are most welcome to come and have a look and a natter over a cup of tea, I"m around most of the week. With regard to the sale, no happy shoppers please, it"s for sale on ebay only and yes, I"m aware of the plethora of button pressers but please, I"ve described it honestly, if you are the top bidder then please honour the contract and turn up with the money. I would prefer cash on collection please. I"m not going to swap it for random things either! I paid £450 for it and if you want to offer me that that"s fine but will remove it from sale when the money has changed hands, otherwise it"s on a 7 day auction with no reserve.
