Thanks for looking!I"m selling the car after owning it for seven and a half years because i"m ready for a change.The previous owner had it from August 2004 until me in December 2007. I"ve averaged under 7000 miles a year in it.  It"s been a cheap car to own and run with fuel economy, servicing and parts. I"ve kept most of the garage bills, handy to see what"s been done. It has a tow hitch that"s only been used a few times by me. The previous owner had a very small trailer, (about the size of a pool table) so i doubt it put much of a strain on the car when he used it. I changed the starter motor and the battery (£70 Exide recommended upgrade with higher Amp Hours rating) so it starts instantly throughout the year. These engines use compression to ignite the diesel on start-up so it"s important that the starter motor turns fast. I was told that the body panels on these cars are galvanised steel - no rust worries. Also the Peugeot 2.0 hdi engine is known to be rock solid for reliability, reaching very high mileages with no problems. At 90 bhp this one is very under-stressed. It averages 50mpg on rural driving, 55mpg on a long journey. Short journeys in the winter will drop it by about 5mpg.  I used wisebuyers.co.uk for the mileage adjusted price for this car. It says RETAIL £2051, PRIVATE GOOD £1451, PRIVATE AVERAGE £991 Therefore, making an allowance for the defects i think £1175 is a fair price. The defects to the bodywork were there when i bought it. I treated the scratches with Kurust then touch-up paint.

Negatives: SCRATCHES/DENT ON O/S REAR WHEEL ARCH (kurust applied and touched-up), DENT ON O/S SILL, SMALL DENT ON O/S FRONT WING, AIR CON NEEDS REFILLING (I think about £40 to do), THREE OF THE WHEEL COVERS ARE A BIT TATTY (£35 for a new set on Ebay), REMOTE KEY NOT FUNCTIONAL (works manually. Brand new spare key (not a remote one)), STEERING WHEEL HAS LOST IT"S ORIGINAL GLOSSY SURFACE FINISH AND IS NOW MOSTLY MATT
