Porsche 928 S4 5.0 V8 32V AUTO, GUARDS RED, FULL LEATHER. LOW MILES, FULL HISTORY
This beautifully presented 928 S4 was ordered by its first owner from Glen Henderson Porsche of Edinburgh on 27th March 1990. It was ordered in Guards Red with full cream leather interior with cream carpets, by far the best colour combination.It has a full Mot (from today), 09/08/2017. It has been very well looked after as the service portfolio proves. It has covered just 154k miles, it had its last service at 148k miles and what a service it was, £4000 spent, water pump, cambelt, new radiator (air con and coolant), ignition leads and brakes.This is my 7th 928 and it is by far the nicest, not just in looks but in how it handles and drives, starts first time every time, engine is tip-top, this is the legendary 928 which was designed to do 500,000 miles. The car was designed not only to cross countries but continents, it really is superb.The car was built in Stuttgart in late 1989, which is considered in Porsche circles to have been the best built 928 out of its 17 year run.All electrics good, windows, seats, sunroof, dials, lights, no gremlins on this one.Upgraded in car entertainment, will play bluetooth, phone hands free.The 928 is a Porsche Club Great Britain Car, documentation available. The service portfolio is incredible, 14 stamps in original service book, all Porsche or Porsche specialist, all old Mot"s, old invoices for parts and services, V5 present, Hpi clear, original leather wallet present with all original books and manuals etc, Porsche Club certificates.The car has been 100% reliable.This was the last of the true 928s which had the most powerful 330 bhp engine thanks to the modified engine management, special camshafts and uprated exhaust system. The performance is almost identical to the later 5.4 litre GTS with a 0-60 of just 5.7 seconds and a 170 mph top speed. Unlike the later GTS the 5.0 litre engine didn"t suffer from excessive engine bore wear as it didn"t have the shorter piston skirts.Today after 26 years and 154k the car feels like it performs as it did rolling out of its factory in Stuttgart.In fact it just seems to get better the more you drive it, the car is totally original and unmodified apart from being painted at some point and the car stereo.the build quality stands out even today and demonstrates why these cars cost in excess of £60,000 in the 1980"s and 90"s.The 928 is well and truly a Porsche legend and prices will continue to rise as classic car dealers and journalists tip the 928 to become one of the most desirable modern classic cars ever.If you want a reliable, great looking, well looked after classic car which sounds amazing then here it is.Any inspection welcome.Car can be viewed any evening or weekend in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.Car can be delivered to anywhere in UK at £1.50 per mile, one way from LN6 3LUCar will have an oil and filter change before delivery.Please call or message me on 07887880337 if you would like to view or require further information.
