This fantastic 1992 Porsche 928 S4 is now up for sale to make way for another classic due limited parking garage space...
I would like this car to go to someone who appreciates that a "92 S4 at this price represents a great investment for the future.
Yes it has covered 180k miles but with an engine rebuild 30k miles ago by Paul A and his team at 928 Spares/Racing in Gloucester plus the recent work I have had done, the heart of this wonderful machine should beat for many more years to come...The drive is superb.
Since owning, I have been concentrating on fixing the few niggles any 24 year old car tends to have and all throughout the spring and summer, this has been my daily driver so I have spent money making it a reliable drive.
Since May 2015 and an oil service I have done the following work:
Both Distributor caps
Both Distributor rotor arms
Both ignition amplifiers
New battery
New plugs
New bonnet release cable
New lower bonnet release catch
New tie/track rod ends
New inner cv gators
New outer cv gators
Tracking
Gearbox Service (Flush and new fluid and filter)
Gearbox kickdown cable setup
Both New window regulators
Stereo harness replaced
New door speakers x 4 and repaired rear lower range speakers
New load cover
New manifold gaskets and Idle control valve fitted
I have part service history and cambelt due in 2 years. The MOT expires May 2016.
There minor areas paint where its needed, I will add pictures in due course to show this. . Inside I planned to refurb the front leather seats to restore colour and the piping, there are- no rips or tears, however.
After the cosmetics this should easily fetch 10k+ being late registered vehicle in midnight blue metallic.
The car is well known to 928 Spares/Racing having been serviced by them multiple times spanning multiple owners and they are happy to confirm this.
This 928 drives very well, pulls strongly in all gears, changes when it should and handles as it should. It cruises and overtakes effortlessly and the Paul A special x/crossover pipe fitted also sharpens throttle response, performance and enhances that V8 soundtrack :-)
Optional genuine Porsche rear spoiler also supplied.
