Porsche 996 Carrera 4 manual with the rare M030 sports suspension and factory fitted aero kit, MOT until October 2017, good service history, 113k miles, 6 owners, HPI clear.
ExteriorHere we have a beautiful example of the Porsche 996. The factory fitted GT3 aero kit and factory optional extra M030 sports suspension makes this car a particularly desirable and good looking example. The car sits wonderfully thanks to the M030 sports pack, as it lowers the ride height by 10mm. The Arctic Silver bodywork (colour code L92U), is in outstanding condition. Both sides of the car are absolutely straight. There are no dings or scrapes anywhere on the car. To be highly critical, there is some stone chipping inside the bottom of the wheel arches where stones fling from the tyres. The wheels fitted are the original Porsche 18 inch 2 piece split BBS alloys. They have just been professionally refurbished at considerable expense so are in as-new condition. All four tyres fitted have very good tread.
InteriorThe interior of the car is also in lovely order and could easily pass for half the mileage the car has covered. The black leather seats have not lost any of their shape and do not have any tears or damage to note of. The leather is nice to look at with only slight discolouring to part of the drivers bolster. Everything inside works just as Porsche intended and the car has a good spec with the following optional extras: Full trip computer with mpg/range etc, 8 way electric seats, self dimming rear view mirror,
MechanicsMechanically the car is very well sorted with no faults. The engine sounds beautiful and is fitted with stainless steel sports exhausts which emphasises the great noise of the flat 6. It idles smoothly, revs cleanly and has great power. There are no taps/rattles/knocking/leaks/smoke, the engine simply performs just as Porsche intended. The gearbox and clutch are both good with a perfect gear engagement and change. The steering is tight and is especially responsive thanks to the M030 sports suspension pack. The brakes are sharp and have a nice feel on the pedal. The only advisory on the MOT was the front discs being slightly corroded, however, this was due to the car sitting for several weeks before the MOT test. Since being used, they have cleaned up and do not require any attention.
Service historyThe original service booklet is present with the car and has 10 stamps in the maintenance record. The car has just been serviced with us at Friends Green Porsche (12/01/2017), so this will not need doing again for another 12,000 miles. There is lots of paperwork with the car, evidencing lots of work that has been carried out over the years.
