My Porsche comes under the heading of a Time Warp car, it was bought as a damaged vehicle in 2001 having sustained light panel damage following a spin on a wet road and ending up in the shrubery; I commisioned a local body shop here in Newcastle to effect the repairs and for three years enjoyed driving the car, during that time only travelling 1600 dry miles.
Following a change in circumstances in 2003 I took the car off the road and dry stored it for 12 years, I have all of the SORN documentation to validate that it has not been used during that time.
This month I decided that my sports car days are well and truly over and have brought the car back to life with a view to selling it; the car has been washed; polished and serviced and with new discs and pads fitted it sailed through an MOT with no advisories.
This is an original unmolested car, everything works as it should, there is cream leather upholstery; a factory alarm/ immobiliser; new hood tonneau and unused spare wheel; Sony AM/FM/Minidisc radio and cherished Registration Number.
So, with the Summer approaching this is an opportunity to enjoy open top motoring in a prestige appreciating classic.
