Proton Satria GTi, Silverstone Ltd Edition, 2002, 89,000 miles, s/history up to 30,000, 5spd manual, all usual extras...e/windows, e/mirrors, r/c/locking & alarm, air/con, 4 wheel ABS, p/steering, 16 alloy wheels, Recaro interior, Lotus designed suspension & chassis.
Nice standard unmolested car in excellent conditon, all original apart from a full stainless steel exhaust system ( cost £350 ).
Bodywork:
The bodywork is remarkably clean with no rust or damage, good panel gaps, the paintwork is good and shiny all round and no different shades of Silver anywhere, just some small age related stone chips as to be expected !!.... and i"m being a bit fussy now..... there is a small fine crack in the rear bumper and a very very small bubble under the paint below the rear window on the tailgate (hasn"t even broken the paint), both issues are very small and superficial. All sound underneath... never been welded and doesn"t need any.
Mechanicals:
Original engine always starts and runs lovely, no rattles or smoke, no noisy tappets, the cam belt and hydraulic tensioner were replaced when i first bought the car and i have done little mileage in it since then due to it being a 3rd car for me. The gearbox is nice and quiet with no synchro issues, the clutch & brakes etc. are also good. Drives nice, pulls strongly and has no oil leaks. The suspension feels nice and firm and it handles well. Long mot.
Interior:
Excellent interior, very clean with no rips or wear holes, all of the seats & their bolsters still have their firmness and shape. Nothing missing or broken, all electrics work including the air/con and both electric windows go up & down freely.
Very rare Silverstone ltd edition (one of 200), owned by me for 4yrs, 6 previous owners, originally sold from new to Oulton Park race circuit as a demonstrator car for a short period (as were all of the Silverstone ltd editions, and some of them were sold to other race circuits too) ... where i am told they were kept well and regularly maintained & serviced. HPI clear, long mot.
Getting hard to find good Satria GTi"s these days especially the Silverstone models.
Comes with all it"s original hand books/service book in original Proton vinyl wallet.
