I bought a new car yesterday and sadly have to say goodbye to my fantastic RAV 4. I have owned the car for nearly eight years, it has never missed a beat. Apart from service parts, tyres, brake discs/pads and a new battery nothing else has had to be changed.
My partner has serviced it during my ownership, he always comments on how clean the oil is every time he changes it.
It does drive fantastic and I can get towards 50mpg on a run, which is amazing for a 2 Litre petrol car.
I had it on a private plate, I have removed that today and it has gone back to its original 53 plate. That log book may not be back in time for the sale. The new owner can have the V5 with the private plate on it and I will sort out the new one if it hasn"t arrived in time.
One thing that lets the RAV 4 down is the alloy wheels are corroded. I did buy a better set of 4 in the summer, but haven"t got around to fit them. They will come with the car.
